after the first trial
[Suzaku had endured the "festivities", but spotting Mikami on the way back, he calls out]
Mr. Mikami. Would you mind some company?
[there's also a light emitting from his hand, that he's just keeping in a loose fist in front of his chest. People spotted him using this ability during the investigation, and now that pamphlets are out he doesn't see much point hiding it especially when it's so dark outside.]

[He also thinks Mikami is one of the more tolerable seeming people though.]
You were pushing yourself a lot at the trial. I'm a bit concerned that there could now be a target on your back...
[it's almost an understatement, judging by the box reactions.]

I'm aware. Anyone who has a shady past would likely prefer to be rid of me.

[with Mikami being another Japanese person he's always got a little bit of that worry on his mind, sorry for his world]
I do have some questions about your approach, regarding criminals awaiting execution. Whose authority were you referring to for that? A government from your world, or someone else's?

But for the past 5 years, we have also had a God manifest in our world. Criminals have been dying of heart attacks in instances of divine judgement and our crime rate has sunken by an incredible 70%. God and the law are in accordance in their definition of a criminal, so the actual execution practice varies.
